I bought the shoes at a store but went out of my way to write this review December 25, 2009

I bought these shoes after trying them on at a Clarks store in Lynnwood, WA. I can say with ease that this is the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I can't even remember sneakers feeling this comfortable. They're dressy enough to wear for casual business situations (but not with a suit or anything).
Anwyay, I bought these shoes at the store but wanted to write a good review about them somewhere and since I buy pretty much everything ELSE at amazon I thought this would be good option.
I'm going back to buy one in brown. My wife also bought a pair when I did and absolutely loves them. we're in our early 50's and I think this company has a customer for a long time to come!

If you are style conscience, you might not want to wear these with the tux, but then again, you might. I am on my feet for hours at a time on a hard surface. Before getting these shoes, I came home at night with acheing feet. No more. I've been using them for a few months. Other shoes were quickly retired. If these only last a year, I'll be buying another pair. They aren't the prettiest shoes I've ever worn, but when the choice of pretty shoes means painful feet, I'll choose these shoes every time.

These are the most comfortable shoes of this type I have ever worn and they appear to be very well constructed. I am extremely pleased with them so far.
The shoes have an attractive burnished finish which I fear may disappear if polished. Indeed, one reviewer stated that the look of his shoes were ruined after a polishing. I will use caution when and if I ever polish them.
August 2011 Update:
I'm still wearing these shoes and except for a scuffed toe on one of them they still look and feel great! (I haven't yet tried to buff out the scratch.)

I have had may clarks shoes in the past. This shoe is like the rest of them... Well made and quite comfortable. I am satisfied with the shoe and assume it will last me a long while.
Pros:
Nice color (Will match any color from light brown to black)
Well made
Stylish
Durable sole
Real leather (unlike sketchers or other low cost/high markup shoes)
Sheep skin, inner tongue (for easier in/out due to softer leather)
Cons:
Made in China rather than the former [exceptionally made] European Clarks
The insole is thin and cheep. (shame on clarks for doing this)

I really wish clarks were still made in Europe like they used to be, but the shoe market is VERY competitive, so I cant blame them too much. The build quality is near the same as it used to be but the insole is MUCH cheaper and would most likely cost $1.50 at Wal-mart. There were four things that made clarks brand the best shoe around: Quality Leather, Build Quality, Price, Insole.
This shoe has all of the above, without the insole. The insole that came with my shoe was thin and folded over, which made a crease which my foot rubs against all day. The former clarks had a GREAT,thick cushioned insole, which equated to most of the comfort found in the shoe. Although comfortable, this shoe may not be an "all day on your feet" type of shoe.
I give the shoe under 5 stars because of the crappy insoles, but the shoe is still a clarks, so... it is a great shoe. I would buy it again because the pro's far outweigh the cons. If you buy this shoe and have had clarks for years, you may notice a difference, but if you are new to the clarks shoe, Im sure you will be satisfied with your purchase.
Note: I usually wear an 11.5 (12 in Nike), but a size 11 in this shoe fit perfect

I was worried that these might be too small, I used to wear a 7.5, but lately I've had to go up to 8 in some brands/styles. I did order these in 7.5, and they fit perfectly with socks on. They are SO comfortable, and pull on and off easily. I haven't gotten a chance to wear them for an extended period of time, but I have no doubt I'll be able to walk for miles in them!

Ordering over the internet can be risky. Not this time these boots are true to size. They are generous in width and very comfortable.I won't hesitate to buy more.

My last pair of clarks (1 in black 1 in brown) lasted 10years and I wore them at least 6 days a week and did some major walking in them. They were made in Italy and waterproof where the sole and the upper connected. I got these as a replacement for my brown pair and they are exceptionally comfy and cool. They aren't made in Italy like the last clarks I got but they are great.

I've been working in sales now for 9 years. In that time, I've struggled to find a comfortable work shoe. I was one of those guys who went to Kmart or Pay-less shoes, only to have the pair wear out in 6 months and frankly, not even feel very comfortable in that time! So, I went shoe-shopping one day. I hit up all of the major retailers and some of the small ones. Basically, after a good 8 hours of shoe shopping, I found these shoes to be the best possible pair for me. They BREATHE, which means my feet don't get sweaty anymore. Prior to buying these, the best pair of shoes I had ever owned were a pair of Merrell Moab Ventilators Men's Merrell Moab Ventilator. The problem is, they aren't really very dressy - although they were breatheable and comfortable. Also, this review is being written in the middle of winter with a bit of snow on the ground outside -- not the best time for the Merrells....
I purchased my initial black pair at The Walking company. For the record, they are a GREAT outfit! However, they didn't have a size 11 in brown -- and it wasn't available to order. So, I quickly came home and snapped up a pair on Amazon for $30 less.
As a result of these shoes, I will probably be a lifetime Clarks customer. I had the opportunity to try several different brands with the polyurethane soles, but they felt too "synthetic" and unnatural to me, and each time I kept going back to the Clarks with their rubber soles. I had also heard about the polyurethane soles suddenly cracking, splitting, or coming apart on some the competitor's shoe brands, which made me a litle nervous. I was a little surprised to get home and see they were made in China, but I suppose that's rather unavoidable these days. The research that I've done seems to indicate that you won't be finding too many Clarks made elsewhere, but they seem to have retained a good portion of their quality.
I will update this review accordingly if the shoes do not hold up to my expectations, but so far, these are the best dress shoes I've ever owned.
The Moral of the story -- Stop buying endless pairs of $10-$20 discount-store shoes that don't feel that great and fall apart after 6 months, and get a GOOD pair. You -- and your feet -- deserve better!

This was the only sandal I wore the entire time during a week-long trip to Cabo. They were so incredibly comfortable and (the gold color) matched with everything. They felt broken in as soon as I strapped them to my feet. I unexpectedly went zip lining and repelling, and was concerned that I did not have sneakers - but these sandals held up great. Also, it was difficult to find t-strap sandals that don't have that wedge between your toes, and these sandals successfully held my foot in place without anything rubbing between my toes. GREAT product and wrapped so professionally for shipment. Highly recommend. Sizing: my foot size in right in between a US 6 and 6.5; the 6 fit perfectly

I love Clark's sandals. This sandal is very comfortable and I love the way it looks on my foot. Comfort and style-it doesn't get any better. Also, my 20 something daughters were impressed with my new sandals and think I look very hip.

The Tulip T-Strap Sandals are so comfy and pretty. I love Clarks shoes anyway for comfort and that they are well made. These are very attractive on my feet too; a good combination. I ordered the brown ones. They are a great addition to many outfits. I got compliments from my husband, son, and daughter. My highest praise to whoever packed and shipped my shoes. They were so neatly and carefully packed. Someone takes pride in their job. Thank you!!
